Beach Resort
This is a Photoshop Assignment we did in class in which we created a vector. I simply took a picture and created the green area to the left of the image containing the text. We made it into the shape we wanted by using the pen tool and altering the anchor points. I used my design to advertise a resort. I kept the design simple so that it did not overwhelm the viewer, yet it remains intriguing. The green I picked for the left side of the image compliments the photo and draws attention to the green on the palm trees, also.
Text Enhancement
We created this image from scratch. The trick to creating something like this is knowing how to handle the layers. You actually duplicate the text, having two different layers (one in red and one in blue). To complete this task, you will end up deleting on half of the top layer, and merging the blue and red text together. You then go to filter, and distortion to further the look.
Text Masking
Here, we learned how to type text in one area of the picture in order to get the "color" of the text to match the background, and then actually MOVE the text to another section of the photograph. I think this look is very appealing and it makes the text flow perfectly with the photograph, considering the fact that the colors came from the original photograph itself!
